Gatchaman/Battle of the planets print now available!

Ladies and gentlemen, I am proud to announce the first of five Gatchaman screen prints that I have been working on. The print is in an edition of 100, each individually signed and also featuring 10 very rare chaser prints, which I will randomly insert into the orders. The chaser prints are classed as Phoenix Editions and there will be ten per character in the series.

Here's what to look out for if you're lucky enough to find one in with your order!

If you like what you see then the print can be purchased here,
or by clicking the shop link in the links tab.

Production photos to follow shortly!

Weapons of cats

On a far off planet two warring factions fight for supremacy. Little do they know that General Calcium plans to destroy the holy scratching post and enslave the entire planet. If this event were to take place then cat city would crumble and all would be lost...

The Thyrilian Rocket Baron sculpt started life as a £1 charity shop porcelain cat. For those of you who prefer him before the modifications I apologise. For those of you who detest sculpted porcelain animals. Welcome.
Weapons of cats started as a joke between me and a friend, so to take the joke further I created this for him as an xmas present. The shoulder canon is a pen lid, with half a guitar pick for the fin and the bullets are rice. Everything else I sculpted out of milliput.

So the next time you see a porcelain ornament, resist the urge to nudge it off the shelf and think of the possibilities of what it could be.

Have a great new year.

Gatchaman

I've been busy working away this week at Badger Press on my first run of screen prints, which will be revealed very soon.

10 Years ago I worked screen printing t-shirts, the hours were long and the deadlines were tight, It's been great fun getting back in to printing and being able to take my time and enjoy it!

The first print depicts Ken from the 1970's japanese television show Gatchaman (or Battle of the Planets in America and England) with the rest of the team to follow throughout 2011.
The print is a four colour hand pulled screen print on 150 gsm acid-free Norfolk cartridge paper.
I will also post up production photos when I release the image of the print
between christmas and the new year, so stay tuned!

The Eye

Well, i've been stuck in my house now for a whole day due to the snow,
so i've done a few illustrations to keep me from going mad.
First up are two variations of The Eye, One with eyelids and one without.
I've also given the one without a slightly warmer tone.
Let me know which you prefer.
