Ghostbusters Munny

Ghostbusters Munny by AKA-Triffid
Ghostbusters Munny, a photo by AKA-Triffid on Flickr.
Custom ghostbusters Munny painted using Chromacolour animation paints.

I painted this at the tail end of last year and am working on two new ones at the moment. I've done lot of sculpting work on them, so keep checking back for work in progress photos!

Royal

One of my favourite films is The Royal Tenenbaums.
I've been meaning to draw something to do with it for ages, so here's one of my graphics tablet doodles of Royal.

I might draw the entire family if I get a chance.

Screen Printing Days

I have been teaching screen printing classes at Badger Press in Bishops Waltham over the last few months. Now, due to popular demand three extra days have been added.

If you would like more info please follow the link through to the Badger Press website .

The classes have been great fun and I have met a lot of like minded people and in turn they have all had a great day and made new friends.

The classes cost £40 and are limited to 6 people. I cater for all ability ranges, so it doesn't matter what level you are at.

Hope to see you there

Strong Island and The Round Tower

This coming Friday will be the preview night of the first exhibition at the new Round Tower Gallery in old Portsmouth.

The exhibition will feature work by over 30 local creatives showcasing work by a mixture of professional artists and students.

The exhibition has been masterminded by Claire Sambrook and Strong Island who have dedicated their time to promoting the arts in the Portsmouth area.

I have been kindly invited to exhibit a few pieces of work under the wing of Badger Press, so if you are about on friday from 6pm onwards come down and take in the sights.

For more information on the exhibition including opening times please visit The Round Tower.

The Time Machine

The Time Machine is one of my favourite books, so I thought I would have a go at my own version of the cover.
I wanted to create something fairly graphic without actually showing the machine or the time traveller.

As always please feel free to comment.

The Wolfman

Sometimes the old films should just be left alone.
Ok, the transformation sequence in the original Wolfman might not look amazing and the acting is a bit ropey, but it's all those endearing elements that make some films classics. I watched the updated version of The Wolfman, and although it's an impressive film with a great cast I didn't care about a single character in the story. The film makers just seemed to want to bombard you with amazing visuals that overpower everything else and leave you feeling empty when the credits roll.
