Dark City Gallery

Well, the week is over and it's been pretty hectic. This week we ran a stall at a Scifi convention in Eastleigh, attended a film festival, did a camera test for a zombie film with Charmed Apocalypse and I got to record some singing if you can call it that on my friend Lord Lav's new album.
So all in all it's been a good week!

At the SF convention in Eastleigh I had the great pleasure of meeting Ross and Kellyann who run Dark City Gallery, they sell one off pieces of art and limited edition screen prints, including this screen print by Dan Mumford which I bought from them.

Four colour with glow in the dark highlights, 18x24" signed edition of 110.
Unlike the God Machine Predator screen print that I missed, I was lucky enough to see this for the first time at the show and grab a copy before they all went! The amount of work DCG had on show and the amount of knowledge they have about their prints was amazing. It was also great to see a lot of work by so many artists up close as you can never judge a piece of work on a computer monitor.

To Boldly Go...

This Saturday a few of us will be running a stall at the South Coast Collectors fair in Eastleigh. 

In preparation for the event i've been working on some new business card ideas and also a new piece of ghostbusters themed work.

We'll be selling screen prints and plush toys at special bargain prices, so come down and bag yourself a bargain piece of art.

The Walking Dead

I don't know if you've ever attempted to use After Effects. I have, and it's a very complicated program to make anything look half decent in.
So if you want to be inspired by some great After Effects work head on over to Art of the Title and watch Daniel Kanemoto's version of the intro to The Walking Dead. Daniel talks about his influences and the process he used to make the sequence and there's also a bit of The Eels thrown in for good measure.

I painted this at the tail end of last year and am working on two new ones at the moment. I've done lot of sculpting work on them, so keep checking back for work in progress photos!

Royal

One of my favourite films is The Royal Tenenbaums.
I've been meaning to draw something to do with it for ages, so here's one of my graphics tablet doodles of Royal.

I might draw the entire family if I get a chance.

New prints!

I have been busy down in the studio working on some new prints, so here they are.

The first to drop is Diamond head followed by a fluorescent pink variant of Slimer in an edition of 10.

Diamond Head - 4 colour, signed, un-numbered edition on 150 gsm acid-free 

Norfolk cartridge paper.

Green edition of 100, Pink edition of 10.
